MARKETING STRATEGY OBJECTION – I CAN\’T AFFORD IT!!
The #1 thing that the World all has in common since the Pandemic has been inflation, we are not immune to the business challenges of the world that inflation has caused. From a Network Marketing Distributor point of view it could mean that they may be getting more objections on potential customers sharing they can\’t afford to buy a product or products or join the business. Well a strategy that I have used very effectively for years is when I get this type of objection, I then ask them in return \”I can show you a way where you get the product for free and or reduce the cost of the product drastically, would you be open to me showing you how to do this?\” By asking this question I #1 find out very quickly the person is really not interested in the product and they are just giving me an objection that is really not the truth. #2 or they are telling me the truth and they are really interested in buying the product So the next step is you take them through the process and I will say something like \”Have you ever watched a movie and you loved it so much that you shared it with a friend and because of your recommendation they went to see the movie. Well it works the same way here in NHT Global but unlike that movie theatre or producers of the movie, NHT Global will send us money when we refer people to the products…. I am sure you know a lot of people who are business minded, entrepreneurial and or people who feel health is very important to them. I will help you share the product and or business with them through our strategies and marketing tools and when they enrol as a customer and or a business distributor you will earn money for that referral, which you can use to purchase the product. Do you have any questions on this or are you ready to get started with this plan…?\” It is as simple as this… Keep in mind this person\’s warm market now becomes your warm market. We always will get better results in working warm markets than a cold market because of the relationships… When you have people ready to get started with the product and or as a distributor then you go back to the person and say \”these people are ready to get enrolled its time that we enrol you so you can starting earning money on these referrals.\” You will be amazed at What happens during this process because of the fear of loss in most cases these people will find a way to get the money for their first product order knowing full well they will receive money from their referrals and potential for more in the future… Sending you lots of great energy with this strategy…. MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME
There is a segment of the Network Marketing industry that today still promotes this concept of Multiple Streams of Income…. The pitch is that you cannot rely on just one income just incase one company goes out of business etc.. therefore you need a plan A and a Plan B company. In theory it is a logical concept, lets dissect this… I am now in my 31 st year of this great industry of Network Marketing so for 99% of my adult life this is all I have done as a career…. I have never met someone or seen someone who has succeeded building 2 network marketing company\’s to success and keeping that success over a long period of time. I call that a clue….. There is a number of reasons for this….. #1 is focus.. Years ago I was having Archery lessons and had a hard time hitting the centre of the target. The instructor came over to me sensing my frustration and told me that I needed to quiet my mind and just focus on the target. Well it did not take me long after this advice to hit the centre of the target… I tapped into the Power of Focus – what we focus on the most in our life we will attract. Building 2 Network Marketing company\’s at the same time takes away from our focus creates challenges in what business should I share with this person? Other Growth challenges would include our time and when we should focus on X Business and Y Business. Success in Business takes 100% all in attitude and focus without it you will never succeed. #2 Organization. If you have your organization doing more than 1 company it will become disastrous for most people it is so hard for them to create habits of disciplines that distractions for the masses always win. Building 1 company and getting to the top takes a 100% commitment of focus and daily disciplines. Without it failure is sure to be the end conclusion. #3 Leadership…When you build a sizeable organization in leadership people are always watching what you do… Belief in a product , the leadership, the company, the business model is critical for an organization to flourish so if the team members see their leaders building other company\’s in the industry it will strike at the heart of belief & so many negative questions will arrive from this. A good example of this is occasionally my social media profiles are duplicated by unscrupulous people and immediately due to the size of my organization and reputation as a leader I get text messages notifying if I was the one that sent that message regarding another business… These people know 100% I would never do such a thing however, let\’s say if that was the truth immediately it would squash the belief in my company. Belief Questions would arise why would Joe join this company, whats wrong with the our company etc….. Another great metaphor would be that you and your spouse build a beautiful family and he/she finds out that you have another family that you have been building at the same time what do you think will happen? The Foundation of Belief, Faith, hope the Dream of a future will all disappear. I will end with a true story a number of years ago I enrolled a very talented leader in the industry he ticked off all the boxes in terms of a person that could be an incredible long term successful distributor. Due to his previous experience in the industry he was with a company that he hit one of the top ranks and build a sizeable organization, eventually that company imploded in the markets he was doing business in and failed to pay him tens of thousands of dollars in commissions. So he bought into the multiple streams of income mindset where he needed a Plan A and a Plan B company, to prevent this from happening in the future. I sold him on my company that we would open in the markets where he had the most influence. Despite me knowing he was participating in other company\’s my plan was that I was going to influence him enough where he would buy into my philosophy. As his organization started to explode I had numerous conversations with him about his other company\’s and that he needed to make a decision on focus and that when his leaders found out he was doing something else it would create many leadership challenges. He responded that he was a professional and he knew what he was doing no body would find out… Sure enough his team leaders started to contact me and let me know about his other business and they were upset. They did not want him in their market again that they were worried if others in the organization would take on that philosophy in building and it would destroy their business. Make a long story short we had our last conversation on this topic by that time it was too late as the company needed to enforce the policies (Ultimately this is where the multiple streams of income concept ends..most all company\’s in the industry have strict policies for leaders with this type of behaviour any complaint about cross recruiting or any sniff of it company\’s will enforce the policy) as there was some overlap which he desperately tried to prevent on cross recruiting… A year later he had messaged me that I was right and he had understood now the consequences of this Multiple streams of income mindset and it did not work got to be 100% focused on going to the top in one company…. That organization by the way has done millions in sales. My definition of what is \” True multiple streams of income\” is take your income you are making and reinvest into your business, into safe proven stocks and
2024 tips to making it a Great Year!!!
One thing that most all human beings want starting today January 1 is a better year than the previous year especially in the financial department. There is a exercise that I have done which has been a Game Changer. It will help you review 2023 and take your to the next level in 2024. Answer the following questions take your time to really get the most out of this exercise .. What you want and why!!! Without a destination in your life it’s not possible to grow and succeed . The first thing we do when we get into our car is log in the details of Google/Apple Maps GPS. If we don’t know the destination the car will just go in circles your life will be the same way. Nothing new happens in life with out change. Success can be attributed to the daily habits that make huge difference in our results. For example setting a goal you will share the Product and the Business once a day, everyday for 2024 for most this would be a Game Changer in results. Another example would be if you in 2023 were doing 30 minutes of personal development a day and changed it to 1 hour a day, just doing that extra 30 minutes a day how much more would you develop as a person as a business person….? Top 11 What I have learned in 30 yrs in Network Marketing
June 23, 2023 I celebrated my 30th year full-time/all the time in this great industry of Network Marketing. Looking back over the numerous milestones, defining moments, beautiful travel experiences, leadership challenges, growth challenges , record breaking sales, betrayals, a pandemic, nearly arrested a few times, numerous country launches, long life friendships created, hundreds of thousands of photos taken, thousands of lives changed & altered in health & wealth all because I made a decision. I can\’t imagine another industry that I would have chosen that would have even come close to these massive, epic, outstanding, fantastic, emotional, gratifying experiences.. To honour my journey and to help my fellow peers in the industry I have put together a top 11 list of what I have learned in my success journey. I hope this helps reduce your learning curve on your journey to the TOP! 1 – I fell in LOVE with my DREAM my Why my Purpose without this vision I would never have manifested my DREAM and made it to the top in my business and continue to stay their after more than a couple of decades.. 2 – I made a 100% commitment (my mantra was \”I shall Persist until I succeed\” Og Mandino) right from the beginning I would never think about quitting it was this decision that allowed me to overcome the rejection, the disappointments, the betrayals the leadership challenges , momentum loss challenges. I can honestly share I have never quit on anyone, never quit on my organization or quit on anything in my life.etc… This is what true commitment looks like…. 3 – 2 of my top 5 values in life Loyalty, Consistency(discipline) has served me really well. I became consistent & disciplined in the money making activities A – Sharing the Product B – Sharing the Business C- Teaching others to do the same everyday. My consistency had me sprint past 99.9% of my industry peers no matter how much massive action they created. The universe has paid me back on this numerous times over the years.. Loyalty see #2 4 – Its not possible to be in momentum all the time in business, My leadership skills and me as a Leader of my organization has been defined & challenged most when momentum was no where to be found, where most leaders quit and move on. Its when I stepped up to the plate even more as always and consistently lead by example… 5 – The best thing that I ever did with my mindset was I looked at the world as one country I chased the business where ever it took me. If you are not building a Global business today you are missing out on one of the greatest wealth paradigms in the world and in the industry of Network Marketing. Its another form of multiple streams of income. 6 – Most things our organization learn are caught from you rather than taught 7 – #1 reason organizations fall apart is due to Leadership mistakes 8 – The Greatest Personal Development Program did not come from any book, training, coaching program etc. it came from me traveling around the world (Now well over 60 countries) building teams from scratch. Nothing will prepare you for this and GROW you MORE!!!!. 9 – Trust is at the core of any successful organization, you can do everything right for 10 years, 20 years always following through with your promises but if you screw up once where you break a promise or you do something that is not integrity driven you will pay a massive price for this.. Your organization will fall apart no matter how big it is… 10 – I have always treated people in my organization that they are the most special person in the world to me at that moment. I have never turned down an autograph a photo, I always return my texts, my emails, my phone messages no matter who it is… You are never too successful to follow through and be attentive on the little things because if you don\’t you eventually will pay the price for this… Being recognized with Respect is one of the core needs & wants of people 11 – No matter how great technology has evolved and will continue to do so , and the pandemic has proven this, there is no greater tool in Network Marketing nothing comes close in advancing the business & building a long term Global organization than live events. Technology cannot duplicate the feelings the emotions the energy when human beings get together…. ADDICTED TO MOMENTUM!!!
I was reminded the other day about the addiction of \”MOMENTUM\” that I see in this industry of Network Marketing and it\’s not uncommon to see it in the Entrepreneurial world… Anyone who has had any experience as an Entrepreneur in the Network Marketing industry with momentum it\’s an exciting place to be, we feel unstoppable, growth comes easy to us, people are entering in your business at a record pace, rank advancements increase and thus our income grows, the rush of excitement sends these endorphins to the pleasure centre of the brain that we want more and more of it. For most Network Marketers who are experiencing Momentum for the first few times they believe its going to last as their income grows their spending habits grows not preparing for when Momentum stops and that my friends is not logical, life happens even the largest company\’s in the world have had times of very slow growth, loss of growth etc… We have all seen the social media posts of leaders in the industry who bombard social media with this excitement shouting out to the world how great the momentum is until one day soon enough those posts simmer down to basically nothing and then a few months or year down the road you find them promoting another company and product searching for that feeling of momentum all over again…. I have actually seen leaders in the industry blatantly promote themselves as \”Start Up Specialists\” which basically means when momentum stops in a year or 2 they are on to the next Start Up. So here is where the ADDICTION to MOMENTUM can be a huge detriment to your longevity of being a successful Entrepreneur in the industry. As I shared above when we experience major growth there is a tendency to increase lifestyle as incomes grow and making financial decisions based on Momentum then when it stops, and there is many reasons why this happens, and many times we as leaders are responsible for this, that\’s for another post….. When the downtime in business happens commission income drops and this is where Network Marketers who over indulged in the spending department without having a saving investment plan start to get concerned and there mind based on the financial pressure starts to focus on the wrong things in the business, blaming the company, the products , their team not working etc… as this continues they are yearning for that momentum again so they can support their lifestyle that the MOMENTUM created with poor lifestyle decisions and that\’s when the weakness in their thinking becomes a major issue as they start looking at what they are seeing on social media with MOMENTUM Posts of other company leaders and then eventually due to their commissions dropping, due to that addiction of momentum they move on thinking the grass will be greener on the other side that maybe that company will be in momentum forever. I have seen many talented entrepreneurs in this industry fall in this cycle of Momentum Addiction where they have gone through this cycle not once not twice but three , four, five times and more and now are out of the industry back in the job world or having to do side hustles like Uber etc… just to make ends meet….. or sadly pitching another business wishing for that MOMENTUM TO COME AGAIN with the same marketing hype words they use the previous 2, 3 , 4, 5, 6 + times this company is in major momentum going to be the next billion dollar company Timing is everything in business get in the ground floor as this is where the big money is made in Network Marketing in 5 – 10 years you don\’t want to be telling yourself that you missed the timing of this Giant this one is a category disrupter millions and billions will be made this has never been done before in the Network Marketing industry this company will change and be the unicorn of the industry ………. Lock-in Your Position on Our Powerline, Binary, Unilevel, Australian one up, Chinese Crazy 5 down Matrix\” Millions will be made without you working & sponsoring!!!! Imagine if they would have in their first or second etc. company fight through this period of slow growth or stagnation and built it again into momentum for long term growth where would they be….. If only I could have been the words of wisdom for them when times get tough this is when the real leadership steps in understanding that there will be dips in the business life happens; to consistently get into a daily routine of simple disciplines of sharing the product and the business and working on yourself daily that will create long term results…. Creating a long term successful business is not easy, but you will ease much pain in your business and life if you stay consistent with your daily method of operation and when sales challenges arise in your business this is where you need to step up as a leader don\’t get distracted and consistently stay focused on your DREAM. There are thousands of stories of successful leaders in this industry all around the world that fought through the pain of a dip in business over and over again to create another momentum in their business by consistently sponsoring new teams and new customers and have won long term financially in this great industry of Network Marketing. How do I know this as I am one of those leaders…… HERE IS A FORMULA I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU MEMORIZE CONSISTENCY + LOYALTY + COMMITMENT to your DREAM = LONG TERM SUCCESSFUL RESIDUAL INCOME You can always tell the \”QUALITY\” of a leader and the longevity of a leader in this industry by judging them not when they are in MOMENTUM but judging them what are they doing and leading when business is not in MOMENTUM…. The more attention you channel into an area, the more results you get at a faster rate. Attention is mental life. What you focus on is where you give life to. Neglect causes a thing to wither away and die. Some of our successful projects start declining and failing when we take our focus away for too long. To keep our dreams alive, we must keep feeding them with our thoughts and actions. When you focus a lot of your attention on something for a prolonged period of time you create lots of results in that area. Everything is energy. Even time and space is energy. Some people seem to progress faster by spending more time on doing certain things and less time on other things. The reason why this is the case is not because of time, but because they are simply concentrating energy more in that direction. Someone can spend less time doing something and yet still accomplish more than another who spends more time on it because the first person is spending energy more efficiently than the second person. It is all about finding vibrational balance in your life. The more fulfilled you are in the way you live, the more fulfilment you will attract and the better your energy will be. Time and space are illusionary but their essence can be seen as energy. So therefore in synopsis the more energy and thus time you put into your DREAM no matter how many distractions come up in your life you will speed up your manifesting of your DREAM ……. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
It was 1996 3 years into my entrepreneurial journey I was on a small cruise ship touring the Islands of Toronto with a number of my Network Marketing colleagues. As I was enjoying the beautiful Toronto skyline from Lake Ontario a gentlemen and I started to have a conversation. After a bunch of small talk he turned to me and said \”Joe I have been in the industry now for 10 years truthfully I have never seen anyone who has grown more than you\”and then we were called into the cabin for Dinner. At the time he clearly meant this as a compliment however, I could not help myself thinking over Dinner wow I am no where near the person I want to be especially my business goals were yet to be achieved…I must have been really really horrible when I started.. Frankly I probably was on a scale of 1- 10 a minus 10 however, what I had going for me was I was in LOVE WITH MY DREAM!!! So keeping this in mind how I broke through is I practiced everyday on my mindset and the basics of the business. Take a look at anyone you know in life that has excelled I can guarantee what made them excel was not God treating them special over anyone else it was their ability to practice everyday on their craft. PRACTICE DOES MAKE PERFECT, but to put in the PRACTICE you definitely need to be in LOVE WITH YOUR DREAM. I would never ever have put in the tens of thousands of hours of CONSISTENT PRACTICE if my VISION MY DREAM WAS NOT CLEAR AND MORE IMPORTANTLY IF I WAS NOT IN LOVE WITH my DREAM……..
HOW TO EXPLODE YOUR INCOME AND BUSINESS IN 2022!!!!
A few years into my Network Marketing career I came across a book that became a difference maker for me in exploding my business at that time. A couple of years later a person in my organization gave me as a gift an audio program that I listened to everyday for 2 years that 20X my income and organization sales. So what does these defining moments have in common? AWARENESS!!! I started my personal development journey in 1993 I disciplined myself and committed to feeding my mind with only prosperity, abundance, hope and love for 45 mins a day…. When I wanted and needed to take my business to the next level all I did is increase my time in this area to 1 hour a day etc… to increase my awareness and then more importantly I taught that discipline over and over again. Those 2 defining moments probably would never have happened to me, it would have just been words on a page or just another audio program, because at those 2 moments all the hours I put into myself focused on growing my awareness came all together and aligned with me mind, body and soul – I JUST GOT IT!! Success is indeed Simple Disciplines Repeated overtime…. If you were disciplined enough to do 30 minutes a day in 2021 take it to an hour double that commitment and expect in due time to have these defining moments happen to you. YOU ARE EITHER MOVING TOWARDS WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE OR MOVING AWAY FROM IT. THIS ALWAYS DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU ARE FOCUSED ON MOST!
NETWORK MARKETING LEADS TO DIVORCE!!!
I came home after my first Network Marketing business presentation all excited I manifested the vehicle to my Dreams looked into the mirror and told my self I would never quit or even think about quitting. I would persist until I succeeded…. My next obstacle was my wife I was relatively newly married and had a 1 year old son. I knew that with all my heart that I needed the support of my partner in life however, I could not even imagine the commitment that was needed to succeed. I sat with her and told her that I don\’t need her support but I would love it, I was going to do this and succeed with or without her support. She felt my commitment, my stubborness I was doing it for my DREAMS of our family. She could not say no!!! When I started to travel for business it was not easy leaving her at home with our young kids it was hard on her but I made a promise to her that I would never book a trip more than 7 days and miss any birthdays etc…. For the most part I kept that promise a couple of times due to travel schedules just was not possible. I have witnessed many a divorce in our industry particularly with top leaders and in lieu of high profile Divorces with the Gates and Bezos it is difficult at the best of times to have that balance, here are some reasons why Divorces become an end result in the industry of Network marketing 1) Leaders who had a good to great run of 6 or 7 figure income and then got in to jumping around from company and company trying to regain the income they did in that magical run/financial distress – never attaining the freedom of residual income /financial plan 2) – The 100% support was never given from the beginning and communicated 3) a Family plan of balance. 4) Values of both partners are never communicated and worked on … If you are starting in the industry or you are moving up in rank in your company becoming a 10% income earner your balance in family life will be challenged, many conflicts will come about . Most understand that nothing is more important than family however, when you are driven, when you have fallen in LOVE with your DREAM balance becomes the most difficult thing to accomplish. Suggestions – – Have a serious talk with your spouse, partner like I did share your commitment let them know it\’s important to have their support but you don\’t need it…. – Schedule family time. For example what I did is use my planner from Sunday to Sunday and scheduled my family time with my wife. This was hard to do as I thrived as a spontaneous person but it saved so many Potential conflicts… -travel set a commitment and goal never to be away from home for a certain period and never miss special family events.. Many will say you have to pay the price for success do not make your family pay the price its a simple error in judgement that will catch up to you negatively. – Have a financial plan. What we did is we got to a lifestyle we were comfortable with and invested the rest making more residual income. Many of the toys Network Marketers purchase gets them into trouble as they become losing assets. Most of the time they are purchased to show people they are successful which becomes a simple error in judgement. I saved 10% of my commissions, 10% for my Kids College , put away a percentage for taxes…. we had a 10% fund for fun as a family. Looking back the best investments I made was in the area of exotic family vacations , the countries we visited were FOOD for our marriage and family life.. – Involve your spouse/partner as much as you can even if they don\’t want to be a part of the action part of the business find ways where you can involve them. Every little thing count. – Ask your spouse/partner to write down the top 10 values they have and compare it to yours. This exercise can be a relationship blessing understanding what is important to your spouse/partner. This year my wife and I are celebrating our 33rd anniversary most of them have been in my network marketing career we know nothing else, our marriage has thrived in all ways and I attribute that to the steps I have shared above.
A BIG CLUE!!! CLEAN YOUR CAR!!!
For over 20 years I have volunteered for the Good Shepherd organization on their Saturday soup kitchens and their Christmas store. Families & individuals in need would register for the store and at an allotted time they would go throughout the store and choose food, toys, clothes etc… Since I was usually the youngest volunteer it was my job to carry the boxes from their shopping spree down a flight of steps and into their cars. I began to notice car after car that I loaded over the years were filthy dirty in most cases it looked like the cars had never been clean before. I could not help the thought or try not to judge, but I just imagined what their houses looked like and maybe it was a glimpse into why they were struggling in their finances. Before any of you take this post personally, please keep in mind I had loaded over the years thousands of cars, my observation did not come in a small sample size. Furthermore, a few years ago I was going to do business with a Real estate agent in investing in a few homes with her. I met her at her house and we jumped into her car and I was aghast the car was filthy with weeks old coffee cups & wrappers, her back seat was full of papers. She explained that she was using her car as an office as she probably saw the expression on my face. That was the deal breaker for me, if she allowed her car to be this messy what other things in her life she kept messy. You may not think that a clean car is important but it can be a reflection about you and your life in many areas.. When you respect your belongings particularly your biggest assets like a car that energy will continue through out your life in a big positive way. Always keep in mind the energy that exudes from you and what you own will always revert back to you in one way or another…
