ADDICTED TO MOMENTUM!!!
I was reminded the other day about the addiction of \”MOMENTUM\” that I see in this industry of Network Marketing and it\’s not uncommon to see it in the Entrepreneurial world… Anyone who has had any experience as an Entrepreneur in the Network Marketing industry with momentum it\’s an exciting place to be, we feel unstoppable, growth comes easy to us, people are entering in your business at a record pace, rank advancements increase and thus our income grows, the rush of excitement sends these endorphins to the pleasure centre of the brain that we want more and more of it. For most Network Marketers who are experiencing Momentum for the first few times they believe its going to last as their income grows their spending habits grows not preparing for when Momentum stops and that my friends is not logical, life happens even the largest company\’s in the world have had times of very slow growth, loss of growth etc… We have all seen the social media posts of leaders in the industry who bombard social media with this excitement shouting out to the world how great the momentum is until one day soon enough those posts simmer down to basically nothing and then a few months or year down the road you find them promoting another company and product searching for that feeling of momentum all over again…. I have actually seen leaders in the industry blatantly promote themselves as \”Start Up Specialists\” which basically means when momentum stops in a year or 2 they are on to the next Start Up. So here is where the ADDICTION to MOMENTUM can be a huge detriment to your longevity of being a successful Entrepreneur in the industry. As I shared above when we experience major growth there is a tendency to increase lifestyle as incomes grow and making financial decisions based on Momentum then when it stops, and there is many reasons why this happens, and many times we as leaders are responsible for this, that\’s for another post….. When the downtime in business happens commission income drops and this is where Network Marketers who over indulged in the spending department without having a saving investment plan start to get concerned and there mind based on the financial pressure starts to focus on the wrong things in the business, blaming the company, the products , their team not working etc… as this continues they are yearning for that momentum again so they can support their lifestyle that the MOMENTUM created with poor lifestyle decisions and that\’s when the weakness in their thinking becomes a major issue as they start looking at what they are seeing on social media with MOMENTUM Posts of other company leaders and then eventually due to their commissions dropping, due to that addiction of momentum they move on thinking the grass will be greener on the other side that maybe that company will be in momentum forever. I have seen many talented entrepreneurs in this industry fall in this cycle of Momentum Addiction where they have gone through this cycle not once not twice but three , four, five times and more and now are out of the industry back in the job world or having to do side hustles like Uber etc… just to make ends meet….. or sadly pitching another business wishing for that MOMENTUM TO COME AGAIN with the same marketing hype words they use the previous 2, 3 , 4, 5, 6 + times this company is in major momentum going to be the next billion dollar company Timing is everything in business get in the ground floor as this is where the big money is made in Network Marketing in 5 – 10 years you don\’t want to be telling yourself that you missed the timing of this Giant this one is a category disrupter millions and billions will be made this has never been done before in the Network Marketing industry this company will change and be the unicorn of the industry ………. Lock-in Your Position on Our Powerline, Binary, Unilevel, Australian one up, Chinese Crazy 5 down Matrix\” Millions will be made without you working & sponsoring!!!! Imagine if they would have in their first or second etc. company fight through this period of slow growth or stagnation and built it again into momentum for long term growth where would they be….. If only I could have been the words of wisdom for them when times get tough this is when the real leadership steps in understanding that there will be dips in the business life happens; to consistently get into a daily routine of simple disciplines of sharing the product and the business and working on yourself daily that will create long term results…. Creating a long term successful business is not easy, but you will ease much pain in your business and life if you stay consistent with your daily method of operation and when sales challenges arise in your business this is where you need to step up as a leader don\’t get distracted and consistently stay focused on your DREAM. There are thousands of stories of successful leaders in this industry all around the world that fought through the pain of a dip in business over and over again to create another momentum in their business by consistently sponsoring new teams and new customers and have won long term financially in this great industry of Network Marketing. How do I know this as I am one of those leaders…… HERE IS A FORMULA I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU MEMORIZE CONSISTENCY + LOYALTY + COMMITMENT to your DREAM = LONG TERM SUCCESSFUL RESIDUAL INCOME You can always tell the \”QUALITY\” of a leader and the longevity of a leader in this industry by judging them not when they are in MOMENTUM but judging them what are they doing and leading when business is not in MOMENTUM…. Neglect causes a thing to wither away and die. Some of our successful projects start declining and failing when we take our focus away for too long. To keep our dreams alive, we must keep feeding them with our thoughts and actions. When you focus a lot of your attention on something for a prolonged period of time you create lots of results in that area. Everything is energy. Even time and space is energy. Some people seem to progress faster by spending more time on doing certain things and less time on other things. The reason why this is the case is not because of time, but because they are simply concentrating energy more in that direction. Someone can spend less time doing something and yet still accomplish more than another who spends more time on it because the first person is spending energy more efficiently than the second person. It is all about finding vibrational balance in your life. The more fulfilled you are in the way you live, the more fulfilment you will attract and the better your energy will be. Time and space are illusionary but their essence can be seen as energy. So therefore in synopsis the more energy and thus time you put into your DREAM no matter how many distractions come up in your life you will speed up your manifesting of your DREAM ……. SCARED TO DEATH!
Its February 1994 and I am 8 months into my Network Marketing career. I was quite proud of myself of what I had accomplished up until then but I was looking for a GIANT QUANTUM LEAP in my business. I was an incredible student doing everything my mentors had told me because I was HUNGRY I was ALL IN 100% my work ethic was up their with the top achievers. I was doing the massive action thing, I was doing the consistency thing, I was reading countless books a month, I was listening to at least an hour a day of personal development, I was attending all local meetings and I personally was doing 1 home meeting a week. But there was still something that I felt I needed to do to experience that GIANT QUANTUM LEAP in my business, I could just feel it. I went to my mentors and each one of them told me I was doing all the right things and over a period of time I will see the GIANT QUANTUM LEAP happen. Although I believed in what they had to say due to my extreme \’WANTING\’ I was in LOVE with my DREAM I knew there was something more that I could do. I went to bed on February 3rd 1994, my extremely pregnant wife asked me for a massage and a thought came to me, why don\’t you ask your subconscious what the missing piece is. So that night before I fell asleep I asked the question. \”What do I need to do to experience this GIANT QUANTUM LEAP?\” I woke up in the morning and the answer came to me. I found that I was still living in my comfort zone with so many things in my life and business. So I decided that day to go knock on doors and sell and recruit. It was something that I would never think of doing. It was beneath me. February 4th was a freezing day I had an excuse not to go out that day but I was committed. I picked a neighbourhood in the next city to mine and I walked to my first house shaking and the door was answered by a woman, I smiled before I got any words out and she asked me to come in. I did my sales pitch, She was nice listened intently but said I will think about it.. Nice way of saying no… Door after Door I experienced massive rejection but something took over with in me I saw a vision of my future… It was incredible day I faced my fears I did not sell anything did not recruit anyone and the experience was incredible rewarding. That day led me to a GIANT QUANTUM LEAP in my business, I realized I could do anything I commit to 100% nothing was going to hold me back. No excuses, no distractions…..100% unstoppable. So my question to you today is what is holding you back from getting out of your Comfort Zone? When you face your FEARS and get out of that Comfort Zone you will become unstoppable as long as you ARE IN LOVE WITH YOUR DREAM!!! Russian Empire
It\’s September 2009 I just landed in Moscow, Russia, it was my first time in Russia. I did not know what to think about Russia all I knew we were growing a big team in Pre-Launch phase and had several committed leaders. As I was patiently waiting in the customs line I was focused on how Grateful I was to have this upcoming experience… So now it is my turn finally I go up to the window and show my passport…. which has my Russian Visa glued to one of the pages. Suddenly he calls someone and the Gentlemen asks me what I am doing in Russia… I quickly stated I was seeing some friends…. and wanted to see the beautiful city of Moscow plus had some business meetings… He then points to my visa and points to the expiry DATE… OMG it shows that I need to leave in 2 days. My plan with the leaders was to stay for 9 days they were all extremely excited I made this commitment, they were waiting for this trip from me for over a year. Many events planned my schedule was jammed pack. Its an obvious error by the Russian Consulate in Toronto. The officer tells me emphatically, he can\’t extend it and I need to leave Russia in 2 days …. I can\’t believe this, what I am going to do, I made a promise. I have come to learn as a leader you never break your promises, no excuses. I have seen to many times leaders who make promises and break them because at the time they want to tell people what they want to hear. In all cases not following through with your promises will destroy the biggest of teams. When Trust is lost more than likely you can never get it back…. The consequences of this now starts to permeate through my entire being, I know if I leave in 2 days more than likely I will lose this team, if I extend my trip past the visa expiry date there is a great chance I get arrested and thrown into jail. Growing up in North America we all are programmed into believing the Russian state is brutal, so the fear is so outrageous now I need to gather my self and focus on a solution. So I gather my bags and walk out of the baggage department a group of women leaders are there to greet me with flowers and a loud ovation their energy is so infectious, it caused a major scene. I could not help but think , the people all around observing this were all wondering who is this guy getting greeted like this by all these beautiful strong women….. As I get to the Hotel I sit down with the main leader Elena and I tell her my predicament, she responds in her broken English \”Joe you can\’t leave, it will destroy all our work the previous year\”. I ask what will happen to me if I stay passed my visa expiry date. She does not know….. Right then and there I made the choice, I am thinking to myself I made a promise and I will not break it, no excuses, I always follow through. So no matter the consequences I will honour it.. The 9 days were incredible( although it was difficult I tried not to think about the fear of the unknown and believe it was major fear) the team exploded with the help of my European leaders Tomas & Garth who had driven the market with their visits, Russia became a monster for us. No matter what the excuse, no matter how difficult things become, never break your promises to your team…. One of the top 3 leadership reasons organizations fall apart. I have personally witness teams into the 6 figures that have crashed and burned.. Our greatest asset in Network Marketing is our organization, always keep in mind it is very FRAGILE even in the best of times….
MONEY!!!
I see so much suffering in the world all because of MONEY!!! MONEY to most creates so much anguish so much stress so much negativity that people kill for it, marriages fall apart because of it, people steal because of it, family\’s fight over it when a loved one dies…. Churches close, even doing what most would consider doing the most important of work on this Planet – Gods work – because of lack of MONEY, almost a billion people starve to death on this planet due to the lack of it…… this unquestionably should not happen in this world with so much abundance and prosperity. When I clearly understood how to have a relationship with MONEY the world of Abundance and Prosperity came into my Life.. It\’s taken me awhile to write this, I share some thoughts of the relationship I started to have with MONEY many years ago, guaranteed to help you build this MONEY energy into your life……. What magnetizes me most is the creation of value in the universe. I move to places where value is created, because creation is energy. If you wish to attract me into your life, focus on creating value for others, and I will appear. I avoid entitlement and complacency. No one ‘deserves’ to have me, and I am always moving to the place I am most respected and where value is created. It has nothing to do with ‘fair’. Those who take me for granted or become complacent with my energy will find me gone. I only have one job, and that is to serve you. It is a matter of energy and value creation. My purpose is simply to move to where I am attracted most, and where I can grow. My one goal is to replicate myself. Because there is no limit to energy, my purpose is to reproduce and grow, in orderto bring more energy to the universe. I am created and replicated through value creation. I am an energy of evolution. The message for you should be clear. Those who create value for others in the world will find me in their lives. I AM WHATEVER YOU BELIEVE ME TO BE. So what you believe about me can make you miserable, or what you believe canenable you to perform miracles. I’m neither positive, nor negative. I am what you decide I am. If you fear me in any way, I can crush your ability to survive. If you get to know me, I can make your life flourish and your dreams come alive. I can be your master, or I can be your servant. I am only what you make me. So, the relationship we have together will be determined by you. Isn’t it time we got to know each other better? I consistently get approached with questions asking for network marketing advice. People ask if they should try a certain strategy old school – new school, how certain leaders become successful, how to build globally, what type of presentation generates the best results, if they should go to that Generic NM event, questions about their website, what I thought about their company etc… I had someone in my team recently design a plan which took him 3 months to complete to get to the top rank in the company. And who are most of these callers? Well many (but not all) fall into one category. They are people who spend time investigating, analyzing, and looking for an easy, cheap way to become an overnight success. They find it easier and safer to stay in a state of continuous investigation to avoid actually doing something to build their business. My advice to many of these callers: Go out and actually do something. Maybe even make your first prospecting presentation. Even if you make 20 more calls investigating network marketing theories, nothing will happen. Okay, I’am not very popular with some of these callers, but I do feel I should at least tell them the truth. What about you? Do you have distributors who do everything except contact prospects? Are they always putting together a new brochure or presentation that will fix all the problems of network marketing? Are they so busy with “busy work” that they don’t have time to recruit? Do they spend hours every day sending e-mails back and forth to people they have never met, and spending too much time on the social sites like facebook with no marketing strategy? Do they focus their time pretending to build relationships with the 800 nameless people they have captured in their autoresponder? What are you going to tell them? Are you going to say: “Nice brochure. You are really accomplishing a lot.” Or, are you going to tell them the truth? Will you say: Go out and actually do something that will build your business. Make a phone call. Meet a live person. Make a presentation. Sign up a new distributor. Can you imagine what your life could look like if you and your team followed this advice? All these years later that is the one thing that I have done well I consistently acted every single day on my DREAMS. Creating Results in your LIFE!!!!
A Couple of years into my Network Marketing career I stumbled upon a defining moment in my business that changed everything I realized instead of gearing my coaching and mentoring in teaching just the basics I started to focus on helping people raise their consciousness. When people in your organization raise their consciousness they will always figure out how to do the rest. When you have a team that is focused on personal development and you build that within your culture great things start to happen. A community of greatness will spread like a wildfire. Here is the challenge in this process is most people habitually are focused in the \”rear view mirror\” which prevents them from growing their Conscious level. It\’s like bending a hose the water will never flow, this is what happens to your success energy if you don\’t break through this destructive habit. Focusing on the way you want your life to be when things are not going your way in the present moment, is not the easiest thing to do. But if you have the determination to focus your attention especially in your business as your want it to be, rather than as it is, your income will change dramatically. When one understands this power of focus on today in the moment you will begin to notice the universe will start to respond to your desires, little coincidences that are not a coincidence appear you will then start to let go of everything and anything that is not part of your new vibration which is your focus/Your DREAM.. I can clearly go back into my life and see life changing moments for me where when I got in this mindset I let go of grudges, mistakes ,ex business partners, complaints, ill wishes, bad behaviour etc… At this point you will start searching for the things that serve you, you will come up with great new ideas, your thoughts will build momentum which will be evidence of the new you!!!! The greatest blessings I have received in my NM career is the number of countries I have visited (more than 50 now) probably have trained into the hundreds of thousands, these experiences have really led me to believe we are here to create as Creations of God and we are definitely worthy of every idea that comes to US. God Does not make JUNK!!! There is no greater creator than you and no greater reason to create than the things you desire in your life. Believe me the closer you get to your \”source\” which expands when you Fall in Love with your DREAM, the Greater Joy you will experience in your Life. So your source your internal guidance system, holy spirit whatever you want to call it will tell you that you are off track by how you feel. My desire and my passion is to help others think enough of themselves to feel good and do whatever it takes to feel good, that way you will have the ability to manifest your DREAM fast despite whatever is happening around you. With every thought you think and with every desire you give birth to the universe expands. And it is only through your joyous quest that all is possible. God Does Not Make Junk!!!! More on the subject of Money relating to Network Marketers
One of the Challenges in the Network marketing world is most of our distributors have the wrong mindset when it comes to money. More importantly they are stuck in always thinking small. So let me ask you a quick question. Have you got the mindset for making money? If you do, you\’ll flourish in your business and more likely to earn millions. If you don\’t then you more then likely have a poverty mindset. That means you\’ll continue to struggle in your business, or reach a certain level of income and you seem to never get past that level no matter how hard you try, possibly get into more debt and or have the inability to reach the top levels in your recognition plan. With a poverty mindset you make the wrong choices, never have enough money and watch your bank account continue to shrink. You wonder why you can\’t make more and have more. You are sure you are talented, you are giving more value. When you compare yourself to others that are earning the money you tend to say I am better more skilled then them why then am I not at their level. You think those who have plenty of money are lucky. And you\’re not one of the lucky ones. You believe that maybe you\’re just not meant to have money. That you\’re meant to struggle. And so it gets harder and harder to make more money. This is what a poverty mindset does. It sends the wrong instructions to your subconscious mind. Instead of creating wealth, your subconscious forces you to lose money and continue to struggle. You don\’t want this, but without realizing it you\’ve developed a poverty mindset. Now you\’re used to it. So it gets harder and harder to change things or dream bigger. Habits are hard to unlearn. Goal setting becomes an impossible exercise. Well I have to let you in on a secret this is why the industry of Network Marketing is incredible, it is the difference maker. You don\’t have to struggle anymore with money or your business. You don\’t have to live with a poverty mindset. You can go from having little to having more than you need by dreaming bigger and reaching your goals and achieving the lifestyle you want. Yes you can have more and make more money. And you will… When you have a wealth mindset. When your subconscious mind is focused on making money. When you believe that you can and will have more money. When you get rid of the blocks that prevent you from making and having more money and this is done when you surround yourself with the right environment the right team the right mentors who can help you in this process. Unfortunately most people are not in the right environment the right team thus your default position is you don\’t believe. And if you\’re not making as much money as you want in your biz then you don\’t have your subconscious focused on making money. Instead, your subconscious is focused on making less or even losing money, and focusing on what you don\’t want, the struggles in the biz etc… It keeps creating blocks that stop. And that\’s only because you keep telling your subconscious that you want to struggle. But that\’s not what you want. You\’re just giving your subconscious the wrong instructions. Today I am telling you that you can turn things around. Today you direct your subconscious mind to bring you more money and more wealth by surrounding yourself with the right environment the right team the right mentor. This is the starting point that will allow you to start getting to the conscious level where you are sending the right instructions to your Subconscious. When I first learned this because of my environment I starting to experience that my subconscious was bringing more and more wealth. I learned to give it the right messages on a consistent basis. So how is this done well there are many techniques but the major starting point as a Network Marketer is your environment, when you surround yourself with the right people(the right team – mentor), the people who have the wealthy mindset who are living their dreams, that are walking the talk you will start to become like them, you will start to program your subconscious the right messages. One last tip, I really believed one of the major reasons why I have created an incredible life is when I started in this industry from day one I communicated daily with my mentors particularly my mentors that had the lifestyle I wanted, in many cases I chased them, every chance I had the opportunity to be around them I was there. This insatiable desire to be like them to have the lifestyle they had I knew that the more time I spent with them I slowly would end up thinking like them and thus changing my inside world would lead a dramatic change to my outside world. It is amazing how many business partners over the years that I have worked with that I know were struggling with this mindset, rarely chased me down, rarely took the initiative to communicate with me, frankly based on what I have shared with you in this post is a major error in judgement. Don\’t hide behind the computer if you are struggling, you need to change, you need to communicate more with your mentors chase them even if it is too say hi, be aggressive. Please don\’t take my advice lightly!!!! You are a powerful person. You can have the wealth you want. You can make as much money as you want. Start directing your power today. See you at the Top Joe
