Life changing Letter
I thought I would take the time today and play some mind games with yourself. Love to hear your comments on this post. You probably already know what this letter is about. You\’ve seen it coming, I know you have. It\’s about us, It\’s over. I\’m leaving you! I\’ve hung on as long as I could, you\’ve got to give me credit for that. I mean, the way you swept me off my feet and talked lovingly about the future we would have together. I have waited so long for your embrace, your attention, and your love. Why have you neglected me? Why have you made so many excuses? Your inaction, and addiction to procrastination is tearing me apart. I simply must move on! For years, I would get so excited every time you talked about the business we were going to start, the places we were going to visit, and the home on the water where we could watch the sun set every night. My heart would pitter patter every time you talked about me to other people, only to be let down once again because you were afraid. What are you afraid of? It\’s only me! I am your hopes, dreams and goals. I wanted you as much as you wanted me, but you leave me no choice. I simply must move on! Please do not attempt to talk your way out of this. The years of indecision, and lack of discipline tell me everything I need to know. If you really, and I mean if you REALLY wanted me, you would have found a way for us to be together. I am tired of having my hopes get so high just to have the rug pulled out from underneath me. I simply must move on! Time is marching by without us, and my greatest fear is suddenly becoming visible on the horizon. I am so afraid that we could come to the end of our lifetime and never have the chance to really know one another. It breaks my heart to even entertain this thought, but I simply must move on! Like the Genie that grants three wishes, I wanted to give you what your heart desires. All I wanted, needed and called out for was your attention, your devotion and your willingness to work hard for me. If that was too much to ask for than I\’m sorry. I simply must move on! All things of value must be earned, and I\’ve grown tired of your excuses and lack of patience. On numerous occasions, I was within your grasp, but you quit too soon. Why did you leave me when you were so close? I only know you from a distance, I\’ve watched you look at other people who have achieved their goals, and wondered if your ticket would ever get punched. I\’ll let you in on a little secret; everyday, I would call out to you; \”I am your goal, here I am, come and get me!\”. I\’m curious, did you ever hear me? I would repeat this day after day, month after month and year after year. But now, I\’ve grown tired of hearing that the timing is not right, that you\’re tired, or that someday you\’ll get around to it. Well, I think it\’s time that I get around to it myself and find someone who is committed, focused and proactive. I simply must move on! On behalf of all of your hopes, dreams, goals and desires; there is something you should know about us. We will never fail you, nor will we ever let you down. The main reason why we have not embraced one another is that you have failed us by not taking action! Why? I trust you have found this lesson to be insightful, disruptive and motivating. You are Great
I have spent most of my adult life helping people accomplish their DREAMS, this is what is so great about the industry Network Marketing. Working and training Hundreds of thousands of people over the years all over the world and indulging my lifestyle with Personal Development I have come to believe their is really one major challenge with the Self Help field. Don\’t get me wrong I totally believe in Personal Development feeding and planting great seeds into my mind on a daily basis. I teach it with a passion and it is the foundation of my Global Organization, it is the foundation of my Life. The challenge really stems from the belief that we as human beings are not good enough right now, thus feeding into the mindset that the next book, cd program, seminar will be the difference maker, the major breakthrough that we have been looking for all our lives. Frankly the Personal Development, self help, next major internet tool/software etc… thrives on this belief. This type of thinking and belief system actually is counter productive to your personal development. We all know people who pour their energies into seminars after seminars book after book and this continues to be a pattern but they never or rarely see improvements in their areas of their lives. In the Network Marketing industry this leads to distributors moving from one company to another, thinking financial success is outside of themselves, that the next company/business model will make them rich. Most come to realize that the grass is rarely greener on the other side. One of the greatest foundations of all religions which goes back to the Old Testament is \”That man was made in the likeness of God\” To me that represents a Major – Gigantic – Huge foundational belief that we all as human beings have it all within ourselves to be successful, the tools, the brains, the ability to manifest etc… we don\’t need anything else. We basically have the ability to do anything and accomplish anything no matter where you are in life right now. GOD DOES NOT MAKE JUNK!!!! Just think/meditate about what I have just stated. Look at the advancements just in our lifetime, look at what we can do today in building our Network Marketing business – on a consistent basis I am calling into a meeting room somewhere in the world using my video cam on skype sharing my story like I was literally in the room, where I am seen on the big screen by prospects and members and all this technology costs me nothing. This blows me away thinking back when I first started in the industry in 1993 where calling long distance at dollars a minute into a meeting room where on the other end they were listening on a speaker phone that was difficult to hear. Can you imagine in 1993 we thought the Fax machine and VCR was the greatest invention ever for our business. A few years back I was with a number of leaders having the time of our lives driving ATVs through the Sahara Desert in Africa and a family of Nomads invited us into their humble home for a drink which consisted of a tent. When I walked in I happened to notice a teenager speaking on his Iphone using Iphone Facetime communicating on video with a relative overseas. It was very surreal experience one of those WOW moments, think about this, a family in a tent in the middle of nowhere and one of them communicating by video on a mobile phone. Yes this all started with a thought by an individual or the collective consciousness of individuals that bought into this belief that I am sharing with you \”GOD DOES NOT MAKE JUNK\” we have all the tools available to us now to get what we want in life. Go out today with this awareness in building your business to greatness and let your personal development, that next book, cd program and seminar simply remind you that you are Great, you are Incredible, you can succeed NOW you have everything you need right NOW to build a life of your DREAMS. As we just got into the last quarter of 2012 the one thing that you need to be asking yourself with regards to your business is \”Do I want to make more money in 2013\”. Well if you have your own business I hope the answer is yes. Well in the Network Marketing world what we do in the next 3 months will definitely impact how much money we will make in 2013. So keeping this in mind, I get a lot of calls asking for network marketing advice. People ask if they should try a certain strategy, how certain leaders become successful, what type of presentation generates the best results, and what is my advice on their new brochure. And who are most of these callers? Well many (but not all) fall into one category. They are people who spend time investigating, analyzing, and looking for an easy, cheap way to become an overnight success. They find it easier and safer to stay in a state of continuous investigation to avoid actually doing something to build their business. My advice to many of these callers: Go out and actually do something. Maybe even make your first prospecting presentation. Even if you make 20 more calls investigating network marketing theories, nothing will happen. Okay, I’am not very popular with some of these callers, but I do feel I should at least tell them the truth. What about you? Do you have distributors who do everything except contact prospects? Are they always putting together a new brochure or presentation that will fix all the problems of network marketing? Are they so busy with “busy work” that they don’t have time to recruit? Do they spend hours every day sending e-mails back and forth to people they have never met, and spending too much time on the social sites like facebook with no marketing strategy? Do they focus their time pretending to build relationships with the 800 nameless people they have captured in their autoresponder? What are you going to tell them? Are you going to say: “Nice brochure. You are really accomplishing a lot.” Or, are you going to tell them the truth? Will you say: Go out and actually do something that will build your business. Make a phone call. Meet a live person. Make a presentation. Sign up a new distributor. Can you imagine what your life could look like if you and your team followed this advice? I did many years ago, I personally am closing in on traveling to 50 countries, have complete lifestyle freedom helped 42 people around the Globe to million dollar incomes, this was all created by me working my business every single day and focusing on the money making activities. Mental Toughness
This summer the world will be captivated by the stories of athletes who spent countless of hours and years for only 1 purpose to become a medalist in the Olympics. We all know unlike professional athletes they are not doing it for the money. So what really makes these athletes special, 2 words – Mental Toughness! I can definitely relate this to our industry of Network marketing one of the great skill sets of my successful peers including is the incredible mental toughness we possess. For example with most people when we want something so bad and grow impatient that it is not moving as fast as we wanted, we tend to get into the desperate phase where that thing that we wanted most moves further away from us. Have you ever had these experiences? I am sure you have. This “desperation phase” just doesn’t work. Resistance only causes more pain, more struggle, and more heartache. So what’s the solution? Expect to succeed, and let divine providence take over, Q. “But shouldn’t I plan my work and work my plan?” A. “Yes, but be free of the attachment to the thing you think you want.” Instead of having the constant struggle and effort for what you want, allow yourself to have fun in your day (enjoy the process) – do something different today for your business that takes you closer to your goal and let the Universe handle the details… Q. “Sounds “new agey” to me – I need practical advice!” A. When you allow yourself to step back from the “rat race” for even just a moment, you’ll find the very thing that eludes you most – peace of mind – is highly practical – because when you’re calm, your creativity, your passions and your inner guidance come naturally to you and the understanding on what it takes to become successful your business. How to be a Leader
Developing leadership skills are most important in every aspect of your life, but especially in the industry of Network Marketing. It is no secret that average people do not make money in our industry and it is the same in the traditional business world. Developing your leadership skills will separate you from the masses. When I first started in the industry I understood how important it was to become a leader. Below you will find the notes I made 18 years ago on what I felt was the essential skills and attributes I needed to develop to become a leader!! Well you may ask how did I put this list together it was observing the leaders I was associated with at that time….. 1. Integrity Leaders have high ethics. They are honest. They always follow through with what they said they were going to do no matter how difficult it is. If you are to gain people’s trust then it is important to learn this trait early. Some of the actual situations you can practice this behavior is taking responsibility for your own actions. Do not play the blame game when things go wrong. Leaders take personal responsibility for their team’s actions and results. 2. Passionate Leaders are passionate. They are enthusiastic about helping people and they even have the ability to rub this energy off on their team. This is one good behavior to start when developing leadership skills. 3. Commitment Time will other promote you or expose you as a leader. Leaders that are truly committed to attaining their goals and dreams and not letting the word try or quit in their vocabulary. Commitment is the starting and ending point of all great organizations and achievement. 4. Courageous People are watching you when you are a leader. Develop the courage to lead by example. Show your team that you are in the trenches doing the things that you teach. It is easy to manage people, it takes courage to lead by example in all aspects of your life. 5. Goal Oriented Leaders are very focused on the objectives that need to be attained. They develop a plan and strategy to achieve the objectives. In addition, they will also need to build commitment from the team and rally them to achieve the organization’s goal. When developing leadership skills, start by looking at how goal oriented you are now. Improve upon that behavior. 6. All in There is no such thing in succeeding in anything if you have the part time mentality. Have you ever seen part time Parenting work? All leaders understand that one needs to have the mentality that they are \”All in\” They need to immerse themselves in all areas of their business. Attend all events, attend all training\’s, work on themselves (personal development, skill sets). Making 2013 your BEST YEAR EVER!!!
This is one of my older most popular posts and I believe life changing. All the best in 2013… Making 2013 your best year ever I put a lot thought and effort on my last post of 2012, I hope you know it is coming from a place deep down in my soul!!! It is my longest blog post but entirely worth the read, I guarantee you. Enjoy!! How do I make 2013 my best year ever? Around this time of year I am consistently getting this question. To me the question is really easy to answer but probably not what you expected. To make 2013 you need to change your philosophy, change your Paradigm. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” James Allen began his book with that aphorism more than eighty years ago. As a student of the power of thought – I believe the book is more relevant today, than it was when it was first written. In my first number of years in this industry, I used to think the most important things to teach my people were prospecting and training strategies. But I couldn’t understand why after they learned them, they didn’t do something more with them. Then I came to realize that there were all sorts of mental blocks holding them back. Fear of failure, low self esteem, fear of rejection, feelings of unworthiness, and the biggest one–fear of success. I came to understand that to build a large growing network, it was critical to include a personal development program in the equation. So now, I work on helping people discover and put into action their innate personal power. This is what has the potential to transform your business and life. Thus the reason I launched www.steamteam.ca It’s pleasing to your ego to assume your group is not growing because of outside factors and other circumstances. It’s very convenient to blame your lack of progress on your company’s compensation plan, the price of the products, timing, the area you live and a host of other external factors. But the truth is, you are reaping the results of your thoughts. Your suffering is the result of your negative, greedy or lazy thoughts, just as the blessings in your life are the results of your positive, kind and loving thoughts. This is an immutable, unshakable universal law… You cannot change your thoughts without changing your life. In either direction. Fortunately, you can pick the direction. Just as planting an acorn will grow an oak tree, planting positive thoughts into your subconscious mind will grow you a Great business and a life, of wonder, harmony, happiness and success. It is common for people to think that they will attract what they want. Unfortunately, this is not true. You actually attract what you ARE. And of course, you are what you think about. The whims, desires and even strong passions you have can quite easily be thwarted by the thoughts you have about them. Last month, I ran into a friend who works as a clerk on the graveyard shift. After our conversation I suggested He visited my training site site. I suggested he read the books on the site along with watching some of our webinar training’s. After devouring the site, he mentioned that he was trying to create a vision for the future as I suggested – but all he could see was cracked mirrors. He asked me what I thought would cause that. I replied that the likely causes were watching too much TV (he nodded), reading the daily newspaper instead of positive books (he nodded again), hanging around with negative people (now he’s nodding furiously), or all three. ‘Busted,’ he says. Like a lot of people I know, he wants a better life, and often asks me for advice on how to get it. I used to give these people copies of “As a Man Thinketh” and suggest they read it. I discovered they never found the time. Then I switched to giving them the name, and suggesting they buy it themselves. Most never get it. They spend so much time in thoughts of negativity – being a victim – they don’t release those thoughts and replace them with thoughts of self-improvement. It’s a chicken or egg thing. They don’t buy the book because they don’t have positive thoughts. They don’t have positive thoughts, because they won’t read the book. You will find a lot of parallels in your business. You need to believe you’ll be successful or you won’t be. But you have to believe it before it happens. Most people fail because they can’t keep this positive frame of mind until they actually manifest success. They start out believing it, or at least thinking they do. Then one of their people drops out, a presentation goes bad, or their first guests never show up to the presentation. They don’t realize it then, but this is the absolute turning point of their career… They will see these things as a challenge to be overcome – or an insurmountable obstacle and quit. If they accept it as a challenge, they build character and persevere. Until they get a little success. Which gives them some more positive thoughts – that build their belief – that lead them to their next success – which builds their belief stronger. They are on a win/succeed cycle. More on the subject of Money relating to Network Marketers
One of the Challenges in the Network marketing world is most of our distributors have the wrong mindset when it comes to money. More importantly they are stuck in always thinking small. So let me ask you a quick question. Have you got the mindset for making money? If you do, you\’ll flourish in your business and more likely to earn millions. If you don\’t then you more then likely have a poverty mindset. That means you\’ll continue to struggle in your business, or reach a certain level of income and you seem to never get past that level no matter how hard you try, possibly get into more debt and or have the inability to reach the top levels in your recognition plan. With a poverty mindset you make the wrong choices, never have enough money and watch your bank account continue to shrink. You wonder why you can\’t make more and have more. You are sure you are talented, you are giving more value. When you compare yourself to others that are earning the money you tend to say I am better more skilled then them why then am I not at their level. You think those who have plenty of money are lucky. And you\’re not one of the lucky ones. You believe that maybe you\’re just not meant to have money. That you\’re meant to struggle. And so it gets harder and harder to make more money. This is what a poverty mindset does. It sends the wrong instructions to your subconscious mind. Instead of creating wealth, your subconscious forces you to lose money and continue to struggle. You don\’t want this, but without realizing it you\’ve developed a poverty mindset. Now you\’re used to it. So it gets harder and harder to change things or dream bigger. Habits are hard to unlearn. Goal setting becomes an impossible exercise. Well I have to let you in on a secret this is why the industry of Network Marketing is incredible, it is the difference maker. You don\’t have to struggle anymore with money or your business. You don\’t have to live with a poverty mindset. You can go from having little to having more than you need by dreaming bigger and reaching your goals and achieving the lifestyle you want. Yes you can have more and make more money. And you will… When you have a wealth mindset. When your subconscious mind is focused on making money. When you believe that you can and will have more money. When you get rid of the blocks that prevent you from making and having more money and this is done when you surround yourself with the right environment the right team the right mentors who can help you in this process. Unfortunately most people are not in the right environment the right team thus your default position is you don\’t believe. And if you\’re not making as much money as you want in your biz then you don\’t have your subconscious focused on making money. Instead, your subconscious is focused on making less or even losing money, and focusing on what you don\’t want, the struggles in the biz etc… It keeps creating blocks that stop. And that\’s only because you keep telling your subconscious that you want to struggle. But that\’s not what you want. You\’re just giving your subconscious the wrong instructions. Today I am telling you that you can turn things around. Today you direct your subconscious mind to bring you more money and more wealth by surrounding yourself with the right environment the right team the right mentor. This is the starting point that will allow you to start getting to the conscious level where you are sending the right instructions to your Subconscious. When I first learned this because of my environment I starting to experience that my subconscious was bringing more and more wealth. I learned to give it the right messages on a consistent basis. So how is this done well there are many techniques but the major starting point as a Network Marketer is your environment, when you surround yourself with the right people(the right team – mentor), the people who have the wealthy mindset who are living their dreams, that are walking the talk you will start to become like them, you will start to program your subconscious the right messages. One last tip, I really believed one of the major reasons why I have created an incredible life is when I started in this industry from day one I communicated daily with my mentors particularly my mentors that had the lifestyle I wanted, in many cases I chased them, every chance I had the opportunity to be around them I was there. This insatiable desire to be like them to have the lifestyle they had I knew that the more time I spent with them I slowly would end up thinking like them and thus changing my inside world would lead a dramatic change to my outside world. It is amazing how many business partners over the years that I have worked with that I know were struggling with this mindset, rarely chased me down, rarely took the initiative to communicate with me, frankly based on what I have shared with you in this post is a major error in judgement. Don\’t hide behind the computer if you are struggling, you need to change, you need to communicate more with your mentors chase them even if it is too say hi, be aggressive. Please don\’t take my advice lightly!!!! You are a powerful person. You can have the wealth you want. You can make as much money as you want. Start directing your power today. See you at the Top Joe

3rd Party Follow Up 3rd Party follow up and validation is perhaps the most important part of your Network Marketing business. It\’s a subtle, but powerful element of your Business. Psychologists call this element social proof. What it means is that people are more likely to do something if other people are doing it too. The more testimonials your prospects hear, the more likely they are going to say \”yes.\” TOOLS Conference call Webinars Company publications 3-way calls Product – Business Testimonials Events Local business presentations Websites – Training websites Marketing STRATEGIES Branding sites – Your own or upline Youtube channel Branding info (anything that adds to the credibility of you or your business partners) i.e – Photos or videos of Company trip promos, photos – videos of your or business partners lifestyle videos of conventions etc….. Using third party is a simple thing to do. When someone has been presented the business, the next thing you want to do is introduce them to others doing the business. After they see your main tool that you use to show the business i.e website, recruiting video etc.., , the next step is to do a 3-way with one of your upline business partners or even sideline if needed. The proper way to do a 3-way call to most can be commonsense, however, most 3-ways are not done properly. Here\’s what should happen in a 3-way. Step 1) Distributor calls prospect with upline business partner Step 2) Prospect answers and Distributor introduces themselves and asks if they have a minute(this is critical, they may be in the middle of something, if they don\’t set up another time with them) Step 3) Distributor edifies the upline like \’Bob I would like to introduce you to my business partner she is extremely successful in _______ and does business all over the world.\'(Best practice – discuss with your upline business partners how they want to be edified on the call) The purpose of edification it builds the credibility of that person with your prospect. The prospect immediately thinks they are talking to an expert. Make sure you do not miss this step if you do the call I guarantee won\’t in most cases go as well. Step 4) Upline tells their story and background ( again this is critical remember stories tell facts don\’t). Upline takes care of their questions & tells more stories about product, company etc.. Step 5) Upline asks for close. \”Do you have enough information to get started\” After a local business briefing, take your guest around and introduce them to other people in the room. Have your prospect tap into a conference call (webinars) or to recorded video testimonial so they can hear from others who are in the business. Again if you are not doing this you are missing one of the best tools to close a prospect. Even if someone wants to get started, then immediately connect them with others who are in the business. When you watch the professionals in Network Marketing, they are constantly introducing people to others. Even at major events, they are introducing their leaders to other leaders. The third party validation happens throughout the entire life of your business. Follow-up is a critical factor in your business. Too many times, people get someone to the website or go to a meeting and they never contact them again. It\’s responsible. It\’s professional. It\’s accountable. It\’s critical. The fortune is in the follow-up. Remember that. If you are contacting a lot of people, but you are not getting results, it\’s probably because of your poor follow-up. Remember all you need to do is invite the person to hear from other people. The third party follow up will explode your business! \”Never, never give up and never give in. Tenacity and toughness are taught. Those who persist win! The wolves are always out there prowling around for strays, preying on the unsuspecting and weak. It is true that a smooth sea never made a good sailor! Never promise more than you can or are will to give. Never give anything but your best. Never give up or give in.\” Have a prosperous Day!!! Why Can\’t I make more money?
Due to my Global business I have been fortunate to travel to multiple countries, I am actually closing in on 50 countries. No matter where I have gone, the number one struggle that I consistently see is the struggle of money. Making more money is on everyone\’s minds & wish list. Affirmations is definitely something that has worked for me and countless of others that I have mentored Affirmations like: \”Money flows to me easily\” \”Money comes to me from different sources\” \”I open myself to abundance and wealth\” \”I receive wealth and abundance everyday\” I coach my team to not only state these affirmations, but also write them down, and put them all over the place to remind you that you\’re manifesting wealth. Does this simple exercise work for everyone well I wish I could say yes. Well let me share with you why it may not work for you. You think about making money and you wonder why you\’re not getting ahead. Then the negative thoughts come up… thoughts like: It\’s hard to make money. There are no good ways to make money. I have to work hard and give up too much. Then you go back to thinking about manifesting wealth and you work with the affirmations again… but still nothing changes. And it never will. At least not until you change what\’s on your subconscious mind. When it comes to making money or manifesting wealth you\’ve planted instructions on your subconscious mind. Those instructions are your thoughts and beliefs about money which are wired to your subconscious. It simply follows those instructions. So even if you want to manifest wealth, and even if you say your affirmations, nothing will change until you change the wealth instructions that you\’ve planted on your subconscious mind. As soon as you do that you\’ll begin to truly manifest wealth. You\’ll attract the right opportunities to make money. You\’ll meet the right people who will help you make more money. You\’ll make the right choices. You\’ll manage your money better. And you can do that as soon as you change the wealth program that\’s on your subconscious mind You want to manifest wealth. You should manifest wealth. You keep trying but when nothing works it\’s a clear sign that you have a number of blocks on your subconscious mind. These blocks prevent you from making and having more. They need to be removed. They need to be replaced with clear paths to manifesting wealth. And you can have as much as you want and even more. Simply remove those blocks that prevent you from manifesting wealth. Get rid of the negative thoughts and negative beliefs that stop you from making more money.
